The Rev. Dr. Robert E. Reese
Priest-in-Charge
Father Bob is a native of Asheville, and has served as a priest for over 50 years. He received his education at Asheville public schools, The University of the South at Sewanee, and Virginia Theological Seminary. He has served a number of parishes in the dioceses of Western NC, and Georgia, and he served on active duty as a chaplain in the United States Army for nine years. Fr. Bob is married to The Rev. Deacon Jeannette Reese. Together, they have four children and eight grandchildren. They both enjoy playing music, walking mountain trails, and spending time with family and friends. They live in Black Mountain.
Dr. Timothy Sloan
Organist
I am a native of Spartanburg, SC, and have worked professionally as a church musician for over fifty years. I have served several Episcopal parishes since 1995, and own a small sheet music import business. I'm husband to Jeff since 1999, dad to golden doodle Buckley, and uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews. I love hiking, cooking, reading, the performing arts, and travel.
The Rev. Deacon Jeannette E. Reese
Retired
Deacon Jeannette is a native of James Island, SC, and a cradle Episcopalian. She graduated from Ashly Hall in Charleston, and Queens College, Charlotte, NC. After moving to coastal Georgia following graduation, Jeannette became a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Brunswick, GA. In 1987, she became the Administrator of St. Mark’s Towers, a low-income elderly housing facility sponsored by the parish. She was ordained Deacon in 1993, and served several parishes in the Diocese of Georgia.
Jeanne and Bob moved to Asheville in 2004 upon Bob’s retirement. In the Diocese of Western NC, Jeannette has served as Deacon at Sylva and Burnsville, and, most recently, at Grace Church, Asheville. Bob and Jeannette enjoy their home in Black Mountain which they share with their precious dog, Mouse, who keeps them fit and happy.
Susan Lunsford
Treasurer
Susan has lived in Alexander (aka the Lunsford Compound) with her husband Mark off and on for 30 years. Susan is a Baptist convert, while Mark is a cradle Episcopalian. They have 2 teacup poodles and 1 miniature poodle.
Susan returned to school in her late 30s to get her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She has since worked as an operations manager and office manager for the past 25 years. Susan has 1 daughter and 2 granddaughters.

Senior Warden
Charlotte is an Asheville native and cradle Episcopalian. A retired senior citizen, she is happily married, and has 4 children, and 10 grandchildren.
Justin Wells
Junior Warden
Justin lives in Leicester with his wife Beth and son Cody. Asheville born and raised, he left for a 20 year Marine Corps Career. Justin is currently a Comfort Consultant for Mountain Air Mechanical Contractors. His wife Beth has a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner practice. His grandparents attended Redeemer for several years.
Diane Jackson
Secretary of the Vestry
Diane lives in the beautiful little town of Black Mountain with her son and daughter-in-law and their four cats. Diane was a school teacher for 40 years, and now she works part-time at Keystone Labs in the HR department. Redeemer holds a very special place in Diane’s heart, as her family was one of the original families who began attending Redeemer when it opened in 1888.
Gary Barger
Gary is married and has 5 adult children. He enjoys playing music and church, and his other hobbies are fishing and flying.
Jack W. Westall, Jr.
Jack is a lifetime resident of Asheville. He still lives in the house that Mr. J.M. Westall, mayor of Woolsey, built in 1896.
